NO MAGIC IN OCEAN VIEW
The Magic travelled to Ocean View on Saturday 9th March for a league game against D&G Orient. The windy conditions were not ideal for good football but our boys settled down to play their brand of possession football and it wasn’t long before we created our 1st clear chance with Mogamat May hitting the inside of the post after 10 minutes.
5 minutes later it was striker Therlo Moosa’s turn to hit the post with just the keeper to beat.
D&G defended deep and the howling wind didn’t help us as we wasted plenty of chances to cross the ball into the goal area that was crowded with D&G defenders.
The 2nd half was much of the same as the Magic played all the football and created all the chances but we couldn’t find the back of the net with Dante Lamb and Therlo Moosa both heading wide from good positions and Reagan Jacobs hitting the crossbar from 6 yards. D&G created one great chance when their striker went to ground after a challenge from Howard Davids, but Bulelani Cola saved from the penalty spot for the 2nd week in a row.
We spent the last 15 minutes camped in the D&G half but could not score the goal to give us all 3 points and had to settle for a single point that still keeps us in the title race.
